The English 11 classes are finishing up their presentations over Emily Dickinson. The classes were divided up into groups and assigned a poem by Emily Dickinson. They then had to read and analyze the poem with their group and create a Thinglink about their poem. Each Thinglink had to include the following:
- A picture that represents the theme or message of the poem as your background.
- A list of examples of poetic devices from the the poem.
- An explanation of what the poem is about. (minimum 1 paragraph)
- A brief history of the life of Emily Dickinson.
- A link to a song that represents what you think the poem is about.
- A definition and example of what a “slant rhyme” is.
The students then presented the projects for the class. Check out a few of the examples below. They turned out great!!
